  The binutils fix was merged to the DP1 branch on March 27th.  There
are NO differences between contrib/binutils on DP1 and -CURRENT.
There is a trivial style change in the gnu/binutils makefiles, but
that has nothing to do with the linking problem.

  I highly suspect that bento is using a pre-March 27th version of
DP1.
