Just to be clear about this: 1. Do I need to do anything with the existing files in /usr/ports/databases/gdbm _before_ fetching and untarring? 2. Is it best (essential?) to go into /usr/src/contrib/perl5/ext/GDBM_File and do a `make deinstall' on the current GDBM before making the new one - or doesn't it matter? 3. When the tarball is fetched, do I have to be in any specific directory on the ports tree or does fetch put it in the right place (presumably /usr/ports/databases/p5-gdbm)? Kind regards, Ric PS.
