Those codecs work on i386 (32 Bit) architectures only. There are some
AMD64 codecs available at
http://www8.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/essential-amd64-20071007.tar.bz2
They are Linux binaries, however, that do not work on FreeBSD.
