Eivind. The changes that have been brought into 2.1-STABLE have been in
current and 2.2-STABLE for well over three weeks now. They have fixed some
very serious stability problems. I wasn't even going to attempt to bring
these into 2.1 actually except for the fact that numerous 2.1-STABLE users
asked me to do so.

If you don't want the changes, it is completely within your power to not
update your systems.
