Okay- that I understand.

Okay. This I would find do-able. That's the real devfs then.  A related
problem is how to device discovery so you would know what name to give to
disklabel or to put in /etc/fstab- but that's a separate discussion.

Which then brings me back to where I came in the middle of this film- if this
is gonna happen for FreeBSD 5.0 for sure, then I don't need to do the partial
solution. I'm sure that there's much much much more discussion that needs to
occur.
