Good news!

FreeBSD and Linux, also NetBSD and OpenBSD are free software.
Free = no cost
also
Free = Source code is available, you have freedom to change that code.

FreeBSD, Linux, NetBSD, OpenBSD are all excellent software.
This is better quality than some software that costs money.
Many volunteers work hard to make this possible.
It is "community effort" - with Internet that community is worldwide.

Companies that create products using software are welcome to use
FreeBSD, Linux, NetBSD, and OpenBSD.
There is no requirement to pay a license fee.

Nobody will complain!
The volunteers who create these products are very happy to see them being used.

If their product includes Linux, then they MUST make source code available to the
customer.
If their product includes BSD (FreeBSD or NetBSD or OpenBSD) then they are not
required to include source code.

BSD and Linux both make source code available to everybody.
You can buy on a CD-ROM (convenient, costs maybe $50. US)
Or you can download all source code from the Internet - no charge!
Both are excellent software.
Of course, each person has their favorite.
My favorite is FreeBSD.

If you use FreeBSD you can make many copies - no fee.
Also, if you create a product, and you need an operating system,
you can use FreeBSD (or Linux or NetBSD or OpenBSD).
You have all the source code available to you.

Please look at http://www.FreeBSD.org/ja
Very Interesting!
