Nothing much to report except that it happens for me, too, whether it's with the regular acd(4) device or the ATAPI-CAM cd(4) device. It seems like it's a not a hardware issue. The process in the ata/acd/atapicam drivers dealing with detachment might be particularly messy. These lock-ups in general are almost as annoying as the ones that various people (myself included) are having from during the boot process. If you have a serial console, it would be worth seeing if it can respond that way. -- Brian Fundakowski Feldman \'[ FreeBSD ]''''''''''\ <> green@FreeBSD.org \ The Power to Serve! \ Opinions expressed are my own. \,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,\
