Did you get the latest drivers from:

  ftp://ftp.stallion.com/drivers/unsupported/freebsd/stalbsd-2.0.0.tar.gz

The ones in the std FreeBSD distribution are *WAY* old. There's a
send-pr to upgrade it, but no action has been taken yet.
