Greetings, I'd like to learn Japanese so I might communicate with some Japanese hackers that are doing cool things in areas that I'm interested in. In addition, I'd like to be able to read most tecnical web pages. I'd also like to know what good software to deal with 16-bit character sets (kanji, hiragana and katakana) which people use. I'm an emacs user if that matters. Thank you for any pointers you can give me that would further my quest.
