This chipset (Mach 32) is known for this behaviour. I've got already some
2 or 3 reports for this chipset which sound identical to your problem.
Other Mach chipsets (Mach 64) don't show this problem. It seems to be a
problem in the support for this chipset/board in XFree86 - i really
recommend reporting this to the XFree team or ask, if this already has
been fixed!
