Hi all,

I have two DNS servers that I setup. I also have a firewall and using
NAT to run several services out to th e Internet. My primary DNS is
on the same machine as the firewall and the secondary is on the
internal net. Here's the problem. I was planning on doing a load
ballance using NAT to balance the DNS requests so in the event one
went down (services in this case). I have both of the setup correctly
and are running. I've verified this. The problem is this, I can use
the interanal DNS server from the windows machine but the bsd machine
will not use it. They are on the same network. I get nameserver not
found when I try to do a nslookup from the bsd machine. I tried both
the internal nameserver and the nameserver on the firewall by using
both the external nic and internal nic and still nothing. It
complains about not seeing a nameserver. Why is it that the windows
machine uses it fine but the bsd machine dosn't? Any information or
questions you can ask to have this come to me will be appreciated.

I'm using 4.2-STABLE, and using ipfw and natd on the firewall. The
windows machine is Windows 98 Second edition. I've allowd all traffic
from the internal network out.

Thanks,
Ben
