In addition to that, I've also noticed that even with xe guest utilitiest installed and started, neither halt nor shutdown -h now are working (they seem to stop the guest OS, but the vm stays up for the hypervisor and needs to be forced to shutdown/restart) and that the XenCenter console is not refreshing properly (it requires some additional movement, like cursor keys being used to refresh the screen).
