I'm thinking of purchasing an ATA PCI Adapter so that I may access a =
large hard disk on a PC with an old BIOS. The BIOS has a limitation of =
2 gigs and I have a 20 gig drive, so the card must have, obviously, on =
board BIOS for recognizing large drives.

I searched through the release notes on 4_STABLE =
(http://www.freebsd.org/relnotes/4-STABLE/hardware/i386/x27.html#AEN33) =
but I'm wondering if there are there any pitfalls to installing one or =
using one? Also -- are any of the cards listed in the release notes =
inherently "better" then the others?

Suggestions for other cards are appreciated.

Thanks for your time.=20
