the pkg_add -r command does no use the port names with the version number on them. Check out the install guide at www.a1poweruser.com and read the 'port and package section' for a detailed description on how to find the correct package name to use. -----Original Message----- From: owner-freebsd-questions@freebsd.org [mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@freebsd.org]On Behalf Of Charles Swiger Sent: Tuesday, January 31, 2006 12:50 PM To: Sean Murphy Cc: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org Subject: Re: pkg_add down! No queue. Presumably you have a local network problem involving active versus passive FTP or perhaps a Path MTU discovery issue, although you might simply have PACKAGESITE set wrong, too. :-) Does "ifconfig _en0_ mtu 1400" fix it, where you replace _en0_ with the NIC you have...? -- -Chuck _______________________________________________ freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-questions-unsubscribe@freebsd.org"
