Real easy these days!

First go make your release and produce an ISO image with mkisofs.
Then go build /usr/ports/sysutils/setcdboot on your alpha
and do the following:

    setcdboot your-image.iso /boot/cdboot

And the resulting image will be bootable.  The 4.0-RC ISO image for
the alpha on ftp.freebsd.org went through this process and I managed
to boot and install from it just fine.
