ran a "make clean ; make -f Makefile.bsd ; make -f Makefile.bsd install" in ...../kernel

Now dmesg reports no problems. But when I open a 16bpp display system crashes, and crashes hard (system reboots).

The last thing /var/log/XFree86.0.log reports is:

(II) MGA(0): [drm] Sarea 2176+624: 2800

*damn* ... finally, when one thinks his several weeks long quest was nearing an end... *bam*... I'm so close getting DRI working, that I can smell it... ;)

Any clues what's up? I'm running 4.2-STABLE.
