hi,
i made a modification to the mysql patch for this port such that it
does not log the passwords in cleartext. i have two version, one which
uses the mysql PASSWORD encrypt, and another which uses the mysql
ENCRYPT encryption such that you can simply migrate your
/etc/master.passwd file into your mysql db and your users never have to
notice....

i can send you diff files, or just the two version of checkpw.c that i
have. or i can explain further what i have done with my modifications...
just let me know what i can do.
