I am somewhat worried about lousing up the stuff on the main disk, which 
isn't fully backed up (and would be kinda hard to do).  If I don't get 
some kinda response, tho, I'm gonna fall back on that and do it.

With all the snow out there right now, my boredom level may rise to a 
sufficient level to make me do this anyways.
