Gave it a short try: disabled the line tcp_extensions=YES in /etc/sysconfig,
rebooted, tried the mount, still 'permission denied'.

Will try on monday with the VMS guy being there. What I recall was that
the mount didn't get even through to the VMS side so that he couldn't
even see from his logs whz the mount was denied.
