Hello.

I just got an Asus M2N-E wich has a NForce 570 chipset.

Got 4 SATA disks (seagate 250G), and when i plug in all the 4 disks,
FreeBSD cannot boot. It freeze when detecting the drives. i.e.

ata2-master: pio=PIO4 wdma=WDMA2 udma=UDMA133 cable=40 wire
ad4: xxxMB <Seagate yyyy> at ata2-master SATA150
ad4: xxxxxxxxsectors [] .....
ad4: nVidia check1 failed
ad4: Adaptec check1 failed
ad4: LSI (v3) check1 failed
ad4: LSI (v2) check1 failed
ad4: FreeBSD check1 failed
ata3-master: pio=PIO4 wdma=WDMA2 udma=UDMA133 cable=40 wire
ad6: xxxMB <Seagate yyyy> at ata3-master SATA150
ad6: xxxxxxxxsectors [] .....
aGEOM: new disk ad4
GEOM: new disk ad6
d6: nVidia check1 failed
ad6: Adaptec check1 failed
ad6: LSI (v3) check1 failed
ad6: LSI (v2) check1 failed
ad6: FreeBSD check1 failed
ata4-master: pio=PIO4 wdma=WDMA2 udma=UDMA133 cable=40 wire

^-------- here it freeze forever.

If i take some disks out, i.e. leave 1 disk. thigs works

It happens the same when i boot from the harddisk or the installCD (for
the 4 drives connected)

Ive try to disable everything in the bois (including the IDE, USB, SATA
Raid, etc).
I did try to boot without acpi too.

It looks like nforce5 are not supported jet
is this true?

If so, a better choose would be the VIA K8T890, right?...

Ive try with the iso snapshots of STABLE and CURRENT of august.

any tip is welcome.

Thanks in advance.
