Subject: xmms 1.2.0 DOA with PCI128 and 3.4-S

Does anybody have xmms 1.2.0 working with a PCI128 (1370) under 3.4-STABLE?

I tried upgrading to it in hopes that 1.2.0 would not hog 99% of the CPU when
it was idle like 0.9.5.1 and 1.0.1 did.

Now, I can't even get it to play MP3s!!! Crap.

When I hit "play" the scope bounces about once every 3-4 seconds but the
elapsed time indicator cycles through seconds of the song about 5 times too
fast. It gets through 50 seconds worth of song in about 10 real
seconds. Nothing comes out of the speakers.

I can play MP3s with mpg123 and other players just fine with this setup.

The real pisser is, that I can't even make 1.0.1 work anymore!!! I tried to
revert back and now 1.0.1 is doing the SAME thing.

I've built esound and libmikmod from scratch from a freshly CVSup'ed ports tree
and that doesn't seem to make any difference. I haven't built world or a kernel
from new sources in quite a while, so I don't understand what could have
happened.

Does anybody have this combo (running the pcm driver, of course) and have xmms
1.0.1 or 1.2.0 working????? This is quite frustrating. I'll be moving to 4.0-S
on this machine soon, hopefully that will fix the problems ......

Thanks,

-Jr
