Ah, so I have to FTP dozens of megabytes of X to get xpm to install. Definitely superior. Tell me, does the patch _hurt_ on an XF86-3.3 system? The lack of it is *fatal* on anything earlier. How about a constructive suggestion for telling the difference between the two? This is particularly biting as xpm is not shipped as a package; your insistence makes it effectively impossible to retrofit xpm to anything other than a bleeding-edge -stable system. mike
