Doesn't look that complicated to me..

Here is the entry for the machine i am typing this on:

192.168.1.10   	tanya.raggedclown.intra tanya
^^^^^^^^^^^^    ^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^
Ip address      hostname+domainname     alias
