If you have the ports system installed:

# cd /usr/ports/net/cvsup/
# make -DWITHOUT_X11 && make install

Bear in mind that CVSup is written in Modula 3 and will, thus, require
this to be installed.

If you do not have the ports system installed, or for various reasons
can't do so or can't build this port:

http://www.openirc.co.uk/freebsd/cvsup-16-1f.tgz is compiled without X11
as of this morning. Please note this is available temporarily and is not
an 'official download location'.
