Add something like the following to your /etc/make.conf to cause the
ports collection to try a freebsd mirror server before other locations:
MIRROR_PREFIX?=3Dfile://localhost/mirrors/ftp/pub
MASTER_SITE_OVERRIDE=3D${MIRROR_PREFIX}/FreeBSD/ports/distfiles/${DIST_SUBD=
IR}/
This example shows using an NFS mount of a local mirror as the default.
