I'm certainly happy to have patches commited that fix it on -CURRENT and I didn't neglect these on purpose :(. That said, I think the best thing for the moment is to leave them in the port rather than try and rush them into the patchset, since they are FreeBSD specific and pretty much everyone on FreeBSD builds from the port. But yes, for 1.5, the plugin will not work on amd64.
