If you really want to run without swap, have a look at PicoBSD (in the ports). I personally like swap spae even on our monster server (512MB RAM, ! GB swap) -- the swap has been never used before, but at some time it will. Good fallback in times of need, and without it, the box just crashes when RAM is full.
