This seems taken care of by Steve Kargyl's patch in the second message, unless you are actually suggesting that the -N and -z be reimplemented? Yeah, I agree that lost functionality is bad. Why not revert the changes, unless there's a commitment to bring the new code back up to snuff with the old code?
