Mostly agree, but waiting until clang can compile most of the ports is
going to be a really long wait.  Lots of projects out there won't want
to support anything other than gcc for the forseable future. Presumably
the import of clang to the base does not mean the immediate removal of
gcc.  Is it really such a bad thing to have gcc as a build-dependency
for various ported applications?
