Just FYI.

Citrus Project in Japan is developping another implimentation for
wchar support (and more). Some of details are introduced in:

http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-userlevel/2000/01/08/0005.html
http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-userlevel/2000/03/30/0001.html

This is based on 3.2-RELEASE and Citrus advantages for 3.2 are (by
Shiozaki-san):

  - Most of XPG5 and ISO C:1995 wchar.h/wctype.h extension.
  - Encoding scheme can be loaded dynamically.
  - ISO-2022 support.
  - Some of backward binary compatibility.
