possibly.  If they are made by Startech, you will get the occasional bad
one that will show similar behaviour.  We make heavy use of 3ware cards =
on
our FreeBSD servers and they are much more sensitive to bad trays in our
experience.  We go through quite a few as we use pullouts on all our =
boxes
at the office and for customer servers we build.  If possible, run the
problem drive directly on the cable, or move the drives around to see if
your problems follow the drives or the trays.
