Not sure as I don't have CUPS installed and I don't have any of printer here, but I would like to see your pkg_info and locale. The printer preview and export to ps/pdf work great here. However, try to add debug options in Makefile and reinstall it. Change from (41 line): =================================== --disable-peer-config =================================== to: =================================== --disable-peer-config --enable-debug --enable-symbols =================================== Be sure to run abiword from any of terminal client such as gnome-terminal, xterm or whatever to allow you able to see the debug information in the CLI. It looks like I should add a new knob, WITH_DEBUG, sometime soon when AbiWord 2.2.4 is released.
