Hi. I want to run oracle 8i (8.1.5) for Linux on FreeBSD 3.4-RELEASE. Is there anyone who made a success of installing oracle 8i on FreeBSD linux emulation box ? I can't run installer as follows. | % su - oracle | $ cd /usr/local/cdrom | $ export DISPLAY=remote.machine.name:0.0 | $ ./runInstaller | Initializing Java Virtual Machine from /usr/local/jre/bin/jre. Please wait... | Error in CreateOUIProcess(): -1 | : Bad address Although I can install oracle 8 (8.0.5) on FreeBSD 3.4-RELEASE and it works very fine, I can't install oracle 8i (8.1.5).
