Subject: Lockups on RELENG_4 with softupdates

Hi,

I am observing frequent lockups on one of our servers. This machine has a
fairly recent version of RELENG_4 (last update around january 15, 2001), and
is using softupdates on all disks.

I don't really know if the lockups are related to softupdates of not, but
they seem to happen when there is a lot of activity on the disks (usually
large deletes).

Anyway, when the machine freezes, it does not even respond to the keyboard.
What can I do to find the root of these lockups ?

Included are the mount and dmesg outputs.

Patrick.
