Hi There, I have a problem with my Promise TX2000 controller, and probably an SX6000. The run UDMA33 insted of UDMA6 (Promise configuration) - well at least FreeBSD says UDMA33. My demsg says; --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ad4: DMA limited to UDMA33, non-ATA66 cable or device ad6: DMA limited to UDMA33, non-ATA66 cable or device ar0: 39100MB <ATA RAID1 array> [4984/255/63] status: READY subdisks: 0 READY ad4: 39205MB <Maxtor 6E040L0> [79656/16/63] at ata2-master UDMA33 ad4: SuperSwap enclosure [FAN:2789rpm TEMP:32.0C 5.130V 11.590V] 1 READY ad6: 39205MB <Maxtor 6E040L0> [79656/16/63] at ata3-master UDMA33 ad6: SuperSwap enclosure [FAN:2836rpm TEMP:32.0C 5.157V 11.773V] --------------------------------------------------------------------------- At first I used the IDE cables that was with the controller, and I suspected them for the problem. Then I found some other ATA133 cables but they returned the same result. pciconf output; --------------------------------------------------------------------------- atapci0@pci0:9:0: class=0x010485 card=0x4d68105a chip=0x6269105a rev=0x02 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Promise Technology Inc' device = 'PDC20271 FastTrak TX2000 EIDE controller' class = mass storage subclass = RAID --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Maby a driver problem ? -- Gorm J.
