Responsible-Changed-Why:
Rescue this PR from the 'pending' category.

To submitter: please try to find another mailer to submit your problem
reports with. Your mailer is escaping linebreaks, escaping spaces,
escaping '=', and performing linebreaks in a way that means that each
PR that you submit has to be manually reformatted for GNATS to accept it.

In particular, any patches containing diffs that you submit via this
method will simply be unusable.
