Nope, I get 419430400 (i.e. 400M) on all the machines without anything in loader.conf - what version of FreeBSD are you running to get those numbers ? I thought that 1536M was the absolute maximum for kmem in versions of FreeBSD before 8-CURRENT. -pete.
