You may be better serviced by contacting the hackers list
(hackers@freebsd.org).  Apparently there are some timing issues in the
beta de drivers, so YMMV in those cases.  I haven't had the opportunity to
experiment with it yet, my 21140-AA card is on loan and I'm still on
2.2.1.
