I've done that successfully.  Mind you, I don't put much of a load on
my system, but netscape was eating lots of memory and I didn't want to
kill it just yet, so I did

	vnconfig /dev/vn0c /dos/386spart.par
	swapon /dev/vn0c

Works just fine.
