You have a geometry mismatch.  If these are SCSI disks, try dinking with 
BIOS options in the SCSI controller BIOS (eg. the "1GB translation" 
option in the Adaptec BIOS setup).  If they're IDE disks, try working 
your way through the BIOS geometry options there...
