Alas, there is still a gulf between the spirt of SGML and the
reality of SGML.  It is shrinking, but it is still there.  
By considering some aspects of the processing that will happen,
some small tweaks that don't compromise the integrity of the DTD
can be made that go a long way toward making conversion with
existing tools easier.  Unfortunately, linuxdoc is basically
LaTeX with angle brackets instead of backslashes, and no ability
to define macros.  It converts to LaTeX very easily, but it is an
insult to the spirit of SGML.
