I'm sure there would be something in a Dr Dobbs sources backissue.  Is 
there an index for Dr Dobbs?

I think there was an implementation given in an Australian Personal 
Computer in 1989. It was in C.  I had fun at the time hand-compiling it, 
but my XT of the time is no longer...
