Please copy any replies to mike@zentek.com, the machine that's down is my user mail spool. Details: System: RELENG_4_3 from around 22 July. uname -a from sister system (built same time): FreeBSD smaug.awen.com 4.3-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.3-RELEASE #2: Sun Jul 22 16:11:03 PDT 2001 mburgett@smaug.awen.com:/usr/src/sys/compile/SMAUG i386 System was running on older system board, with AMD k6/2 processor, 128M RAM. No IDE drives, all SCSI. Swapped PCI Matrox Mill card for AGP G400. I changed out the motherboard/memory/processor for an AMD K7, on an ASUS A7M266 board. Same SCSI Controller (Adaptec 2940UW), same SCSI drives, same ethernet cards, etc. North bridge is AMD-761, south bridge is VIA VT82C686B. 512M of DDR. When trying to boot the new board, I get : >>FreeBSD/i386 BOOT Default: 0:da(0,a)/boot/loader boot: | int=0000000d err=00000000 efl=00030002 eip=00006120 eax=00000210 ebx=00000000 ecx=c0010010 edx=00000180 esi=0000000b edi=00000005 ebp=000003f4 esp=000003c6 cs=f000 ds=ec00 es=1000 fs=0000 gs=0000 ss=9e35 cs:eip=0f 32 66 0d 00 00 08 00-0f 30 c3 66 b9 10 00 01 ss:eip=a5 61 02 00 00 00 80 01-00 00 1d 27 00 ec 4a 27 System halted I saw messages regarding problems with this boards IDE/ATA and FBSD, but thought I'd get a bit further than this, since I'm using SCSI. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Short of putting the old MB back in, I'm a bit stumped on how to proceed at this point. I've never had one crash this early in the process before.
