Hey Lars,

Hm. In my /etc/make.conf there are no uncommented lines, i.e. all lines =
are commented out.
Do you still need the file to find the problem? Maybe this _is_ part of =
the problem...

Here are the two lines containing the variables you asked for:
PERL_MAJOR=3D${PERL_VER:C|^([1-9]+).*|\1|}
PERL_MINOR=3D${PERL_VER:C|^[1-9]+\.0*([1-9]+).*|\1|}

I'm sorry about not having given you enough information. I don't =
understand what's going on, really. If you need any more, please let me =
know.
