/usr/src/sys/powerpc/powerpc/exec_machdep.c
and were it is used.]

I found it:

/usr/src/sys/powerpc/powerpc/exec_machdep.c has
exec_setregs that is accessed (via sv_setregs).
This sets up arguments for _start .
