This was fixed shortly after the release of FreeBSD 4.7,
on December 2nd, 2002 in -CURRENT, and on December 16th, 2002 in
-STABLE, in revisions 1.22 and 1.12.2.4 of src/usr.bin/finger/net.c
respectively.

Stiik, thanks for striving for a better FreeBSD by reporting this problem!
