You have to cut the following lines out of your fvwm config file:
AddToFunc InitFunction 	  "I" Module FvwmButtons
+			  "I" exec xsetroot -mod 2 2 -fg \#554055 -bg
\#705070

Note: the \#705070 is on the line that starts with a +, my composer just
linewrapped it. 8-)
