The PPP server at my work uses chap. I am having difficulties setting it up. Can someone tell me the difference between enable chap vs. accept chap The Sysadmins tell me that their chap is uni-directional. The server supposedly sends me a 64 bit random # which PPP is supposed to mangle with my user-id and password and send back for authorization. I don't see how ppp.secret fits into this equation.
