How can it?  I've never reproduced this problem myself.  You will always
get an error about the inability to open the Java plugin if you don't
have jdk13 installed.  However, this has never caused a core dump for
me.

We're in ports freeze now, so it probably won't happen before
5.0-RELEASE.
