FreeBSD Addendum 4.4-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 4.4-PRERELEASE #11: Mon Aug 6 04:11:32 NZST 2001
>Description:

The program is out of date.

The cvsupit-3.0 program seems to suggest that RELENG_4_4 should be
used. That can lead to various extra problems, e.g. when downgrading
from v5 of FreeBSD (due to the syscons + pcvt incompatibility,
3 Jan 2001). For example, "make buildworld" of v4.4 fails can fail at
the very start when making "yacc" after a downgrade and errors would
follow that (the usr.bin/usr.sbin files are too out of date in
RELENG_4_4).

Also "src-secure" and "src-crypto" are not listed in the cvsupit menu.
That can cause problems if the crypto files were already downloaded,
but they are not updated.

>How-To-Repeat:

>Fix:

Some added text in the cvsupit menu hinting that RELENG_X is
usually better than RELENG_X_Y would be useful.
